Marchants Hill Residential Trip information
In September, the current Year 5 pupils will attend their residential trip to Marchants Hill, a PGL centre near Hindhead, Surrey. The trip is for 4 nights from Monday 9th to Friday 13th September 2019 and costs £280, which covers accommodation, food, activities, transport and insurance. This trip supports the outdoor activities requirements in the National Curriculum. As the programme includes outdoor and adventurous activities, children are expected to take old clothes as they will be getting wet and muddy! A kit list will be sent out nearer to the time. The children will be sleeping in dormitory style rooms of 4, with en-suite showers and toilets. The activities that the children will undertaking will be of an outdoor and adventurous nature and may include archery, rock climbing, orienteering, shelter building, zip wire, raft building etc as well as a variety of team building activities. These activities are all designed to develop their resilience, team building skills and confidence.
The closing date for reserving a place was 11th January. All places are now filled. A waiting list will be created for those who may still be interested.
Marchants Hill payment information
1st Contribution– Deposit of £50 is required (by Friday 11th January)
2nd Contribution – £70 will be due by Friday 1stMarch OVERDUE
3rd Contribution – £80 to be paid by Friday 26th April OVERDUE
4thContribution– £80 by 28thJune 2019.
Smaller and more regular contributions can be made, as long as the deadlines are met.
