'Right Click' Parent Forum - Tuesday 30th September

The parents that attended were also introduced to the school’s secure learning platform, DB Primary, where children can use e-safety features that are closely monitored by members of staff.

Many thanks to the parents and children that attended the ‘UNICEF Right Click’ Parent forum on Tuesday 30th September. In association with BT, parents worked closely with their children to have a better understanding of safeguarding whilst online.  Children at Gossops Green will know that all children have 54 universal rights under the United Nations Charter for the Rights of the Child.  In particular, Rights 34, 36, 16 and 17 were the main foci of the session.

In addition to this, parents and children were informed that using search engines like Google may present the children with unwanted content. Therefore, as a school, we highly recommend that the children search using a child-friendly search engine e.g.
http://www.safesearchkids.com/, which can be accessed directly through DB Primary.
