On International Women’s Day, Thursday 12th March, the girls’ football team were an inspiration. After winning their group, winning five games and drawing one, the undefeated team strolled in to the semi-final against Milton Mount.

Following a tense period of extra-time, the game was decided on penalties and the girls emerged victorious and ready for the challenge of Three Bridges in the final. Again, penalties followed extra time and after four rounds of penalties, which included at least nine saves by Hulley, the girls sadly lost.

They could not have come closer to victory and showed Crawley that girls are every bit as good as boys. #girlpower
