Pupils at Gossops Green receive music lessons from a specialist teacher once every two weeks during their PPA time. There are also opportunities to develop their interests away from formal lessons by signing up for instrumental lessons or for one of the clubs run by Mrs Underwood, our music teacher. Currently, children have the chance to participate in the following:
KS2 Choir is led by Mrs Underwood and is open to all children from Years 3-6. They meet every Wednesday lunchtime in the Music Room.
Year 5/6 Ukulele Band
New for this term, the Year 5/6 Ukulele Band will meet every Tuesday lunchtime in the Music Room. Pupils should see Mrs Underwood if they are interested in joining.
Rhythm Masters in a before-school club which runs every Tuesday morning from 8am. Led by Ollie Heath, it focuses on drumming and beatboxing. Please see the clubs page for more information or http://www.ollieheath.com/school-club/. *Charges apply.
West Sussex Music Service offer keyboard lessons every Wednesday. These take place during the school day and do incur extra costs. Please see the office if you are interested in your child learning to play the keyboard.
